JK Harris Lends Florida Family Helping Hand to Claim Tax Benefits
JK Harris Lends Florida Family Helping Hand to Claim Tax Benefits
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (PRWEB) July 10, 2005 -
Thanks to JK Harris, the nationÂs largest tax resolution company, a Stuart, Fla., family can take the $ 8,900 the company helped them recover from the IRS and put it towards a down payment on a new house.
Antelmo and Silvia Santibanez found themselves in a fight to prove to the IRS that their two children belonged to them and that the couple could claim them on their 2004 tax return. The Santibanez family wanted to take advantage of the Earned Income Tax Credit and also earn other deductions on their tax return. In order to claim the EITC, the IRS has to have proof that your children are, well, your children.
According to Angus Smith, an Enrolled Agent for JK Harris & Company and President of the Charleston (SC) Chapter of the National Association of Enrolled Agents, taxpayers are forced to prove their children belong to them when records sometimes get mixed up, people are victims of identity theft or a simple mistake is made. Once that happens, though, and names and numbers donÂt match, it takes a lot of patience and people who know what they are doing to get the record set straight.
ÂI went to many other people, but they didnÂt help me, Silvia said. ÂMy experience with JK Harris & Company was very outstanding.Â
JK Harris submitted piles of documents to prove that the children did indeed belong to Antelmo and Silvia. Included in the reams of proof were social security cards of the children, drivers licenses (to prove last names), social services records, receipts and anything the Santibanez family could get their hands on.
Once the IRS agreed that the tax return was correct, the EITC generated $ 4,900 for the family and other refunds totaled another $ 4,000.
ÂWe can buy a house with that money that you helped me to get, Silvia said about JK Harris. ÂThank you for helping me with my problems.Â
Silvia said that she and her husband did not know where to turn after several failed attempts at getting help, but Âwe found this company (JK Harris) on the computer and it was very helpful.Â

Smart Mobile Payments to be Available Globally in Europe (UK and Ireland) and North America (USA and Canada) for YESpay-Wallet Merchants
Smart Mobile Payments to be Available Globally in Europe (UK and Ireland) and North America (USA and Canada) for YESpay-Wallet Merchants
London, UK and Toronto, Canada (PRWeb UK) February 4, 2011
YESpay International announces that it will shortly enable smart phone based mobile payments at many of its selected merchants that participate in its web and mobile YESpay-Wallet™ card payment program, allowing customers to pay for web, mobile and in-store purchases with select smartphones.
YESpay has already launched its YESpay-Wallet™ service for web-based card payments with many merchants such as YES-secure.com Peer-to-Peer Social Lending web marketplace. These innovative merchants encourage their customers to create personal YESpay-Wallets™ in order to make card payments on their websites.
YESpay is expected to launch its YESpay-Wallet™ Mobile App for select BlackBerry® and iPhone® smartphones, and iPod® touch. Dr Chandra Patni, CEO at YESpay International said, “Customers of participating YESpay-Wallet™ merchants will have access to one of the most extensive global mobile payment program that enables the fastest way to pay on the web, on the mobile and in-store. This global program over the next 18 months could include over 3,000 YESpay merchants”.
YESpay regularly processes millions of cardholder payments for its merchants and predicts mobile payment will attract customers and merchants alike looking to experience the speed, ease and convenience of paying with their mobile phone. “Customers can create their individual YESpay-Wallet™ in which they can add details of their credit and debit cards as well as create YESpay Virtual Cards – they can then make card payments at YESpay web merchants or by using the YESpay-Wallet™ Mobile App in-store. This will extend customer experience at potentially all our merchant locations,” said Tasneem Bunglowala, YESpay Mobile App Product Manager. “With mobile payment, the YESpay-Wallet™ platform with support for Virtual Cards further elevates the customer/merchant experience by delivering convenience, rewarding loyalty and continuing to build an emotional mutual connection.”
To experience mobile YESpay-Wallet™ payments at participating YESpay merchants, customers just need to download the free YESpay-Wallet™ Mobile App for select BlackBerry® smartphones, iPhone® or iPod® touch mobile devices. Possibly one-quarter of U.K./USA/Canadian customers of YESpay merchants use smartphones, of which nearly three quarters use BlackBerry smartphone or iPhone mobile devices.
The YESpay-Wallet™ Mobile App allows customers to manage their virtual and credit cards, check their Virtual Card balances, reload their Virtual Cards with any major credit/debit card, check their Retailer Discount Coupons and Promotions status and find a nearby YESpay Merchant store with the store locator feature. In addition, using the mobile app customers can pay with their smartphone by selecting one of their credit/debit or Virtual Cards in their electronic wallet, holding their mobile device in front of a scanner on the countertop and scan the card Mobile App’s on-screen barcode to make a purchase.
Mobile payment is built on the YESpay-Wallet™ and Virtual Card platform, which continues to experience significant customer adoption. Mala Chauhan, Marketing Manager at YES-secure.com said, “Our lending members have loaded more than £0.3 million using their YESpay-Wallet just in the first full quarter of operation in Q4 2010. We are now feverishly working on the introduction of the quick and easy YESpay-Wallet Mobile App for greater convenience. A growing segment of our members use smartphones, and through the YESpay-Wallet Mobile App, we can provide them with the fastest way to pay.”
YESpay will shortly announce how to download the YESpay-Wallet™ Mobile App for BlackBerry® and iPhone® smartphones. iPhone® and iPod® touch users will soon be able to download the app from the App Store at http://www.itunes.com/appstore.
EPOS solutions providers or web developers can contact YESpay International Limited via sales(at)yes-pay(dot)com or 0871 221 9510 to request an integration guide and obtain more information about the YESpay-Wallet™ Mobile App and payment system for select BlackBerry® smartphones and Apple iPhone®, iPod® touch.

Tampa Mormon Women Gather to Prepare for Disaster
Tampa Mormon Women Gather to Prepare for Disaster
Tampa, FL (PRWEB) May 9, 2006
A Women’s Conference will be held on Saturday May 13th from 9am-1pm to discuss issues important to women from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including emergency preparedness. The keynote speaker will be Elder John Anderson. Mr. Anderson was responsible for coordinating relief efforts for the Church after Katrina hit the United States last year.
For members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, being prepared for emergencies is not only a good idea, it is a tenant of their faith.
“We should be prepared for the future. Only preparation, both spiritual and temporal, can dispel fear. Individual members and families should prepare to be as self-reliant as possible in times of personal or widespread emergency.” says Gordon B. Hinckley, President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Mormoms believe that the primary responsibility to prepare for and respond to emergencies rests with individual members and families. To help, Church leaders have counseled families to:
Prepare spiritually through fasting, family and personal prayer, family home evening, and honoring their covenants.
Prepare financially by staying out of debt, saving for the future, and obtaining insurance if possible.
Acquire a year’s supply of food. Families should start by storing basic foods that would keep them alive if they had nothing else to eat. They may then choose to store other foods that they are used to eating.
Prepare for home and natural disasters by having certain basic emergency and first aid supplies available in one place in your home for quick and easy access.
Maintain physical health by practicing wise eating habits, observing the Word of Wisdom, and exercising regularly.
To help the members get a jumpstart on their hurricane preparedness, local Church leaders are offering “Emergency Preparedness Kits” to Church members at the conference. These kits will include items such as waterproof matches, water purification tabs, sanitation supplies, first aid supplies, rope, scissors, 20 hour candle, whistle, personal hygiene items, sewing kit, notepad, gloves, sun block and insect repellant.
The ladies will also be provided with an “Emergency Documents Binder” to take home. This is to store important papers such as, insurance papers, birth certificates, social security cards, resumes, family photos, in case evacuation is necessary.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has a long history in the Tampa area, as well as the state of Florida. There are approximately 4,000 members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints living in what we call the Tampa Stake. This membership number comprises of 11 separate congregations (one of which is a Spanish language congregation). In addition, there are approximately 12,000 members within the Tampa Bay Area, comprising of approximately 30 separate congregations. Florida’s first official Church congregation was created in Jefferson County in 1897. Today there are approximately 227 individual congregations in the state of Florida with over 123,000 members.

AP9 Privacy Matters 1-2-3 Advises Consumers to Take Inventory of Their Wallets
Norwalk, CT (PRWEB) November 3, 2006
If your wallet has been labeled the “George Costanza Wallet” from the hit series Seinfeld, you may just be an identity thief’s ideal target.
AP9 Privacy Matters 1-2-3 reports that according to the Federal Trade Commission, of the estimated 10 million Americans victimized by identity theft each year, the majority of the victims’ personal information was stolen not via the World Wide Web, but by non-computer related crimes such as purse and/or wallet snatching.
AP9 PrivacyMatters1-2-3, a leading security and privacy membership program offered by Adaptive Marketing LLC, assists consumers with staying on top of their personal information by providing instant access to their triple credit reports and scores as well as members-only access to weekly credit monitoring alerts. And for those consumers who have not checked their credit report in over a year, many top governmental agencies highly suggest obtaining a copy of your credit report once a year if not more. Knowledge is key when dealing with ID theft criminals.
Since many Americans have a misconceived notion that ID theft crimes only happen over the Internet, AP9 PrivacyMatters1-2-3 suggests that it is a good time to take inventory of what is in your wallet and to clean it out as much as possible — the less personal information you carry, the less chance ID thieves will have to damage your good name. AP9 Privacy Matters 123 offers a few helpful suggestions to get you started:
– Social Security Card. If you find your Social Security card in your wallet or purse, remove it promptly. If stolen, ID thieves will be able to apply for credit cards and bank loans easily, which will result in nothing but months of stress trying to clean up the mess. Only take your Social Security card with you when you need it – applying for a job, making financial transactions, or going to see your accountant during tax season.
– Extra Credit Cards. Remove all of your credit cards except for 1 or 2. We also suggest making photo copies of all your credit cards — front and back — but don’t carry them with you. Leave the copies at home or somewhere they are safe and secure. In case your wallet or purse is stolen, you will have copies of your credit card numbers and the toll-free telephone numbers where you can call to report your cards stolen.
– Receipts. It might be a good idea to clear out some of your receipts as they may contain your credit card number. If you need them for tax purposes, start a filing system at home. This way you won’t have to carry so much around with you.
In addition to receiving instant access to your credit report and score along with credit monitoring alerts, the security and privacy membership program also offers a discount on Internet security software and anti-virus software – all through AP9 PrivacyMatters1-2-3.

Identity Theft Protection for National Consumer Protection Week
(PRWEB) February 11, 2005
As National Consumer Protection Week comes to an end, it is important to remember the tactics to protect yourself against identity theft. Identity theft is currently the number one consumer fraud in the country. Millions of people were affected by some sort of identity fraud last year. To reduce the possibility of becoming a victim of identity theft, here are a few measures you should consider taking:
· Shred all documents that contain social security numbers or account numbers. This includes paycheck stubs, monthly bank statements, and credit card receipts with full credit card numbers.
· Remember to take in your mail every day. With everyoneÂs busy schedule, checking the mail can often get overlooked. Unsecured mail boxes are goldmines for id thieves who can intercept pre-approved credit card offers or even the actual credit card itself.
· Use different passwords. Vary up the passwords you use, make sure you donÂt have one password for all of your personal information. In addition, it is a good idea to use numbers, caps, and letters in your password so that it is harder to guess.
· DonÂt carry your social security card in your purse or wallet. Imagine if your belongings were stolen. Along with your driverÂs license and credit cards, your social security card could give identity thieves full access to your accounts.
· Sign up for a credit monitoring service. Identity theft victims often find out that their identities have been stolen far too late. Credit bureaus offer credit monitoring services that alert you once someone opens up a credit line in your name. This way, you can detect identity fraud early to avoid unnecessary stress.
For other tips and services that may help you with identity fraud, visit Balanced Credit (http://www.balancedcredit.com), a great resource to access all of your online credit information. We provide you with links to get your online credit report and/or online credit score from the credit bureau you choose as well as contact information for each of the major credit bureaus.
