Nowadays, most of the people carry their cash and valuable information, from credit cards, debit cards, and business cards to social security cards and driver’s license in their wallets. Some even carry their check book in their wallets. In fact, it is upsetting when your wallet is lost or pick pocketed, as it may sometimes lead to identity theft, thereby causing its real owners to pay huge amount of money from his pocket. When you realize that your wallet is lost, try to remember the place where you last had your wallet. If you cannot remember, just list out the places you last visited carrying your lost wallet. Also, try to remember the cloth you were wearing last when you lost your wallet and search in its pocket. It is also advisable to check in your outerwear as well as jacket’s pocket. If you can’t find it, then search in your car. There are chances for your wallet to fall out from your pocket while driving. Still if you didn’t find your lost wallet, then check regarding the lost wallet with your spouse or friends who last accompanied with you. You can also ask them to help to find it, as they may sometimes be able to easily trace out the wallet.
As mentioned earlier, make a list of last visited places, which may include shopping centers, restaurants, pharmacy, bank or stores, and then dial their phone numbers and check with them whether they found any lost wallet. If possible, visit the scene and make a search. It may be sometimes lying near the counter or on the seat where you were sitting to watch movie, or on the chair or table in the restaurant. Also, notify to the Social Security Administration and bank if you were carrying your social security card in your lost wallet. Additionally, if your driver’s license card is also lost along with the wallet, then inform this to the Motor Vehicles Bureau.
